Dudley Water Board Elects New Chairman, Sets Staffing Plan
Municipal Authority · Meeting of September 2, 2026
Dudley water board scrambles to cover departing staffer's duties. The Board of Water and Sewer Commissioners learned longtime office employee Jen worked her last day this week with no permanent replacement hired, and authorized incoming Chairman Justin to negotiate a temporary contract arrangement with her for evening and weekend coverage. The board also voted unanimously to elect Justin chairman and outgoing chairman Scott vice chair in a delayed annual reorganization, and recommended engineering firm Tighe & Bond pursue "Option One" for a new water and sewer connection near a Gentex-area property.
Members disclosed a $59,920 dispute with contractor GEG over disputed water main rework that could head to mediation. Superintendent George reported a still-unresolved DEP compliance issue involving a storage tank hatch first flagged three years ago, with a new violation notice expected imminently.
