Dudley Parks Board Sets July 9 Rain Date

Parks and Recreation · Meeting of May 11, 2026

Dudley Parks and Recreation Commission locks in a July 9 rain date and skips its July meeting. The panel finalized logistics for three June events: a playground ribbon cutting on June 17 featuring Select Board Chair Jana, a town-wide yard sale on June 20 with 20 households signed up and $3 maps sold outside town hall, and a June 25 bike rodeo with no rain date after last year's washout. Commissioners said the new playground remains taped off pending a safety sign-off from town facilities staff.

The board also said it applied for the Janet Malzer grant and the Creative Experiences grant through the Mass Cultural Council to fund a live music series, and will hold its annual officer reorganization at its June 8 meeting.
