Dudley Master Plan panel narrows summer workshop to a handful of dates as two members resign. Meeting with planners from the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission, the Master Plan Steering Committee unanimously accepted its prior minutes and heard the town's new community survey has drawn just four responses so far against a goal of roughly 1,000. Planner Emily said the effort will lean on the town's official social media accounts after the committee's standalone Facebook page was taken down for violating town policy.
Members Clark and Richard both resigned, and most remaining appointments expire at month's end, requiring Board of Selectmen renewal to keep the seven-member panel staffed. The committee leaned toward a Saturday, June 27 or 28, workshop date, with Tuesday, June 30, as backup, and agreed to invite Nichols College, Dudley's largest employer, to weigh in on the plan.
