Dudley's new Master Plan Steering Committee elects officers, kicks off first plan update since 2000. Richard Clark was elected chair and Scott Sakowsky vice chair by roll call, with Town Planner Bruce Webb serving as secretary. Consultants Ron Baron and Emily Tebo of the Central Mass Regional Planning Commission said the town's current plan draws partly on 1990 census data and is "almost 40 years old." The project carries roughly $130,000 in state funding, including about $120,000 to $125,000 through the Community One Stop program, with a June 2027 completion deadline.
The committee set its next meeting for April 23 to review draft survey questions and is eyeing a June community workshop, likely at Shepherd Hill Regional High School.
