Dudley Board OKs Golf Club Manager, Licenses, Warrant

Select Board · Meeting of October 5, 2026

Dudley Select Board accepts a 250th-anniversary Declaration of Independence replica and approves new golf club management. A legislative aide identified as John Marcy presented the framed, linen-paper replica on behalf of a statewide nonprofit, America250, recreating the 1776 town-by-town distribution of the founding document. The board unanimously approved Nathaniel "Buddy" Bartlett as the new manager of record at Dudley Hill Golf Club, represented by attorney Andrew Upton, after confirming his TIPS certification and staff training plans.

Members also granted Nichols College a one-day entertainment license for an October 23 Pumpkin Fest, cleared the Dudley PTO's 13th annual Turkey Trot for Nov. 26, and approved the Nov. 3 state election warrant, with polls set for 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Treasurer-Collector Mitch Kamignani reported just $200,000 outstanding against the town's $17.5 million tax levy as of June 30. Board member Sullivan told colleagues, "I'd rather have 500 people there voting no than 50 people voting yes and not liking the result."
